Biography

Kip Gayden is a Judge of the First Circuit Court for Davidson County. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt undergraduate school where he played basketball. He is also a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School. Miscarriage of Justice is his second novel, his first historical fiction. He has appeared on several author panels including the Southeastern Independent Booksellers  conferences in Atlanta and Mobile, the Southern Book Festival in Nashville, the South Carolina Book Fest and the Southern Kentucky Book Fest. A second printing of Miscarriage of Justice will be released in May 2009. He is a member of Sisters in Crime, and  WNBA. In 2008, he was chosen as one of the top three authors in the Nashville area in a poll conducted by the Nashville Tennessean. His hobbies consist of writing, reading and learning to speak Spanish.  He is an avid gardener and loves to hike. Kip is a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. Kip is a member of the Nashville Downtown Rotary Club and is on the Board of Directors for The University Club of Nashville. He is a Mason and a Shriner. He is married to Paulette Gayden and they have three children.
